The Beauty Issue

I never really had problems with my skin, even though my skin can be extremely dry and sensitive. It’s always takes time to find right products which work for you and I’ve finally found them. What I realized along the way is that products matter, of course, but there is so much more to good skin.

Today I wanted to share my routine. This is a list of the exact products, tools, and routine that I’ve been using over the past few months. I’ve been really consistent and think that’s a huge part of it, and I truly believe these products are another big factor. Keep reading for what I use and do each week.

Shop My Routine

I usually start my mornings with hydrating my skin. You can use an oil or a lotion, whichever you prefer. I prefer using a fluid or a sorbet which is really gently to my skin. My all time favorites are Dior Hydra Life Sorbet Cream. It’s so light that absorbs in the skin immediately. It’s extremely calming and so good for any redness or irritation from sleep. It gives my skin a healthy-looking glow.

I use repair creams all the time. They help my skin renew quicker and they give it a good hydration boost. Avene Cicalfate is my absolute favorite which I’ve been using for years. It’s a bit fat but absorbs really well and perfect for sensitive skin. I switch it up with a moisturizer depending on the day.

For my lips or extremely dry skin (during the cold) I use Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm. It’s a multipurpose reparing balm which helps agains very dry skin.

In the spring/summer i always use mineral water sprays. They are great for refreshing the skin during the day and keep you hydrated. It’ve been using this trick for years now. The spray I love is from Evian, but I also switch it up with Avene.

Jade Roller

After I apply serum, and moisturizer, I use my jade roller. I like to wait until I have all my skincare products on so everything sets nicely. The jade roller is great for puffiness and circulation, plus it feels nice. I always keep my jade roller in the freezer – works amazing for puffiness and contouring your face.

In the middle of the day I apply SPF La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + . I don’t like applying SPF together with the other products, but separately or together with the moisturizer once again.

I usually take off my makeup or wash my face the second I get home for the day. No matter what time it is or how little makeup I have on, I always start with a good cleanse.

I remove my makeup with Bioderma Micellar Water . Then I always apply the cleansing mousse to take off the rest of dirt or makeup. My favorite is Avene Cleansing Foam.

I always try to use serums. One of my favorite is Dr. Jart+ Peptidin. It helps with dullness, anti-aging, and dryness. Nighttime is a good time to let serums set in and do their thing, and I usually rotate a few different serums depending on what my skin needs.

Vitamin C

No matter your skin type, you can benefit from a Vitamin C product since it brightens your skin and is full of vitamins. I personally like Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Cream since it’s light and hydrating.

Same ones that I use in the morning. I rotate between those depending on how my skin feels. Make sure this is the last step of your routine (other than eye cream) since it’s the thickest.

On top of my everyday skincare routine, I have a few other tools and products that I love.

Face Masks + Eye Patches

Face masks are amazing because they can give your skin a lot of benefits in a matter of minutes. I always see a difference in my skin when I’m regular with them and I do them almost every other day. My favorites are: Dr. Jart+ Pflege Dermaclear Trans-Foam Clay Pink, Summer Fridays R+R Mask. Sheet masks and patches I love are mostly from Sephora. They are great if you are in a hurry.
