Paris TRAVEL DIARY

Paris TRAVEL DIARY

At the end of April I went to Paris with my boyfriend to celebrate our 6-year anniversary. I was in Paris almost 6 years ago as well together with my boyfriend, but it was too short back then. This time we went to Paris for 4 days and it was an amazing experience.

I have so many places to share with you, so I chose only a couple of the best ones!

WHERE TO STAY

Hotel Balmoral

The first hotel we stayed at was Balmoral Hotel. Hotel Balmoral is a really cosy hotel located in the heart of Paris right next to the Arc de Triomphe. Balmoral hotel truly captured the aesthetic of old Paris.

Hilton Opera

Halfway through our trip we relocated and stayed at Hilton Paris Opera . The atmosphere there is really rich, the staff is really friendly and helpful.

WHAT TO DO

There are literally a million places you can visit in Paris. Every building is a sight by itself, it is just too beautiful not to pay attention around you (and take tons of photos).

The Eiffel Tower

Even though I am not a big fan of tourist places, I recommend to start with the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is a symbol of Paris and a must go if you are there. You can also go up on the tower for an amazing view. Make sure you are going there early in the morning or in the evening to avoid crowd. Working days work fine as well.

Arc de Triomphe

To get to know the parisian atmosphere even more go to the Arc de Triomphe. It also has an observation deck with an amazing view on the Champs Elysees. After, you can walk along the Champ Elysees and enjoy the day!

Louvre

If you are as cultural as I am, do visit the Louvre museum. It is very big but going there for a couple of hours to see Mona Lisa is fine too!

Palais Royal

You can also visit the Palais Royal, walk in the park nearby or enjoy a cup of coffee at Cafe Kitsune.

Museè Rodin

Museè Rodin is a great place if you want to combine visiting a small gallery and walk outside. It has a lage park and a lot of outdoor sculptures to enjoy.

Where To Eat

Ladureè

Ladureè is located at the Champs and is a great place to go before or after shopping! The cafe is also very beautiful since it’s located in historical Ladureè mansion.

L’Avenue

L’Avenue is a great place for authentic french food! It’s super lively and a great place for drinks!

Le Cafe Marly

If you are looking for something special Le Cafe Marly is the place for you! Not only is the food to die for, but it is also in Louvre Square. Also, they serve breakfast there in the morning.

Where To Shop

Champs Elysees

Champs Elysees is the most famous shopping street where you can find both luxury and more affordable brands. Also you can eat there and even go to the cinema.

Avenue Montaigne

The entire street is literally dedicated to luxury. Almost every famous boutique is located there. If you want to feel the full luxury visit restaurant L’Avenue or book a stay at the famous Plaza Athenee hotel!

Galeries Lafayette

Galeries Lafayette ia a famous shopping mall chain in Paris. You can find both luxury and more affordable brands there.
